Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It was released worldwide on November 10, 2009 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems. The game's campaign mode focuses on private Jack Mitchell, who is recruited into a secret unit called Task Force 141 along with his brothers Dave and Jacob to take down a rogue general named Imran Zakhaev. In the multiplayer mode players assume the role of one of five classes: Assault, Spec Ops Survivalist , Demolitionist, Engineer or Sniper. Each of its four modes have a corresponding objective: Capture the Flag, Search & Destroy, Domination and Headquarters. - Source WikipediaThe Campaign The main character is a member of a special forces unit, "Task Force 141" which is under command from JSOC. The main character's identity is unknown to the others in the Task Force 141. The Task Force 141's leader Lieutenant Colonel Stuart is killed by an explosion from a Russian rocket launcher to prevent him from being captured by Zakhaev's men. Subsequently, the leaderless Task Force 141 is ordered to "evacuate the area" because of a "massive Russian offensive". The Task Force will be responsible for securing themselves and others from the Russians. The player is not initially aware of their task force's specific objective nor are they told who is in charge, although it seems that the superiors are "Global Occult Coalition" or G.O.C. The main protagonist goes to assist his fellow soldiers, captures another prisoner named Sergei Volikov, but he dies later on in interrogation by Lieutenant Colona Stuart. The main protagonist also assists Captain MacTavish and a soldier named Griggs must fight their way through a town, through a Russian ambush and across a frozen river. After assisting MacTavish, the main protagonist is told to go down a river where they meet up with an American Marine named Griggs, MacTavish's supply officer. One member of 141 is killed by enemy fire as they head toward the extraction point, which turned out to be a trap. They proceed across the Russian border into Russia towards Imran Zakhaev's mansion in Pripyat, Ukraine that was left abandoned after the Chernobyl disaster of 1986. After entering the mansion, they encounter a Russian helicopter that pursues them. After being rescued by the G.O.C., the team destroys the generator powering Zakhaev's nuclear reactor to try and stop his nuclear weapon from detonating. After succeeding in doing this, the player is requested to hijack Zakhaev's armoured train and help destroy his missile silo.
